Not really.
On April 11, 2007, Blue Falls Manufacturing advised that BaquaSpa and similar biguanide products were no longer recommended for our hot tubs. In a corporate memo, all dealers were advised to cease recommending and selling these products for use with Arctic and Coyote products.
This decision was made based on two factors :
- A review of warranty claims in correlation with biguanide use
- A series of tests conducted by our Research and Development Department on the effect of BaquaSpa on our components.
Owners who have been using Baqua with no ill effects and who wish to continue on this product may do so. Owners who have experienced jets popping out might consider switching to a recommended sanitizer system (bromine, chlorine, or metallic ion systems). In either case, we will continue to honor the warranty.
