From the first day that we started selling infrared saunas in 1992, we always thought that this was a great product but something was missing.
People certainly do not step into the sauna and then think WOW! This is exactly what I was expecting!!
That is why Arctic decided to embark on a project to redefine the “portable” sauna industry. This project meant throwing away all of the traditional thinking around infrared saunas and starting again.
What we came up with was our Hybrid line of saunas. These saunas combine the benefits of infrared saunas and traditional organic dry saunas into one package – and for pennies a session!
Our design uses patented control technology to make all this possible. The difference is obvious. Within minutes of turning on the unit you will feel the hybrid sauna experience begin. All family members will find a setting that satisfies their sauna desires. The infrared purists can focus on the benefits of infrared heat with a little added warmth for comfort. The traditionalists can have the sauna increase the ambient temperature so they can maximize the amount they sweat and still have infrared working in the background for deep tissue therapy.
When most people first try an infrared sauna, the initial experience is less than over-whelming. In fact, until the average person commits a few hours to using their infrared sauna, they feel little or no benefit.

All Arctic Saunas have oversized seating which means approximately 15% more space for our oversized bodies than imported brands, and we use a stronger bench and floor material to support heavier loads. All of our wood is dried to 8% or less moisture content to minimize any potential for cracking or splitting even if you live in the dry climate of the Canadian prairies or the Arizona desert.

Arctic Saunas are completely designed and built in Canada including the electronic controls, which are built in-house. This means that we control the quality so it can be passed on to you. It also means that the parts are readily available in the event that your sauna is damaged or needs service.
Sauna Sound
Our integrated sound system is much more than an after thought. Unlike most portable saunas where you will likely find an inexpensive car stereo system added on – our stereo system was incorporated into the design. Our custom designed control system allows you to stream music directly to our sauna from any Bluetooth enabled device. Stream music from your favorite playlist on your smart phone, Ipod, laptop, or other device. There is no need to carry discs with you or handle them with wet, sweaty hands. Want to listen to your favorite radio station – there is probably an app for that too!
Choose our optional Ultimate Sauna Sound System with our custom amplifier, multi-cone Jensen marine grade speakers, and our use of the sauna box as the sub-woofer if you want to make this sauna your home sound system – even if you are not using the sauna!
SunstouchTM heaters
Our SunstouchTM heaters target the vital FAR infrared range of 7 to 14 microns, with most of the wavelength being in the 8.4 to 9.4 micron range. This is the most effective therapy range.
One of the most common complaints about IR saunas is the uncomfortable sensation of “cold spots” in the sauna where no IR heat waves reach the body, and “hot spots” when seated directly in front of the old-style ceramic or metallic IR heaters. Our patent-pending hybrid system evenly disburses the heat throughout the sauna to eliminate this problem. Wherever you sit in the sauna all parts of you will feel the heat making you more comfortable.
Health Conscious Construction
Every step of the way we consider your decision to begin on the journey of adding a sauna to your healthy lifestyle. We feel our part is to do everything possible to deliver you product that is as human friendly as possible. We test in-house all of the construction materials to ensure they meet RoHS standards to be free of lead and Cadmium6. No detail is over-looked – even the screws are tested. Our solid wood cabinets are made using non-toxic glue, and we use clear cedar in places where others substitute plywoods to save money. A plywood cabinet will release toxic formaldehyde, which is definitely not the fragrance you are looking for in your sauna!

Easy Set Up
All of our Hybrid saunas are designed for ease of installation. They do not even require a tech to come to your home which can save you money. All Arctic Hybrid models plug into a standard 15A 115V household plug, so just assemble it, plug it in, and you are ready to go!
Assembly of these units can usually be done by 2 people in about 15 minutes. These saunas literally bolt together. Download the Arctic Sauna app from your app store and it will show you how to build each of our saunas with a short video clip or follow the instructions that come with the unit. Either way we are sure you can do it yourself. If you want us to take care of it for you this can also be arranged through your local Arctic Sauna dealer.
Smart Phone App
Innovative technology and in-house Engineering allow Arctic to bring you the most innovative sauna control technology available. Choose our optional built-in wireless option to take full advantage of all the possible features of your sauna.
This option allows you to download an app from your app store and control all of the regular functions of your sauna remotely.
Activate many of our custom sauna functions remotely by using your smart phone such as:
• Pre-heat your sauna and have it let you know when it is toasty warm.
• Set a timer and have the sauna let you know when it is time to finish up.
• Use the stereo-only program to turn your sauna into a home sound system.
• Activate any of our pre-programmed sauna settings.
• Or even use it to link to video installation instructions plus much, much more.
